Oh, Lisa. She was a very special Bride for me. :)
I met Lisa at her home for our trial. What made her trial unique was the look she thought she wanted (on the left: subtle, light makeup with nude lips) wasn't the look she ended up choosing (on the right: dramatic, chiseled eyes with a dramatic red lip!) She was a true case study in what makes having a trial so important! And just how different makeup can look in a photo than how it looks on you.
Here are the 2 looks we tried at Lisa's trial:
Her wedding day was...
Absolutely stunning! It was a formal wedding, but it still felt very friendly and fun. I saw wine colored dresses and suits, and the groom dressed in navy. I loved the color combinations. She wore a lace strapless dress, which complimented her dramatic eyes and red lip. We started the day at her sister-in-laws home to start makeup and hair, and then we moved to the venue to finish up. It was a beautiful, sunny day! By that time I had gotten to know Lisa pretty well (she did Bridal portraits with me, too) and sharing the day with her was like spending it with a friend. Her bridesmaids were so sweet to Lisa and I could tell they were so happy for her. And, of course, I got emotional seeing the Bride in her dress (that's no surprise, lol).
My favorite Makeup related moment was...
Lisa chose her own lip color (it was a long-wear liquid lip), and she totally slayed it!
